RIDGEWAY, Va. - Saturday at Martinsville Speedway, Chase Elliott led the way for Hendrick Motorsports by qualifying for tomorrow’s 263-mile race in second.

It marks the driver’s second front-row start in the last three races. However, due to an engine change, the No. 9 Mountain Dew Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 will start Sunday's race from the rear of the field.

William Byron qualified in 11th, his best career starting spot at Martinsville. Teammates Alex Bowman and Jimmie Johnson qualified 19th and 24th, respectively.

Denny Hamlin captured the pole.

Sunday’s Round of 8 opener is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN.
