CONCORD, N.C. -- The Duels are the final step in determining how the lineup for Sunday's DAYTONA 500 will play out.
For the 62nd annual running of "The Great American Race," the two Duels will determine the starting grid outside the front row.
Alex Bowman's spot already is secure after he placed second in the qualifying session, so he will race in the second Duel locked in to the front row.
Chase Elliott will race in the first Duel at outside pole, while Hendrick Motorsports teammates Jimmie Johnson and William Byron will take their positions in the second Duel at the No. 2 and No. 4 starting spots, respectively.

WHAT TIME ARE THE DUELS?
On Thursday, Feb. 13, the first Duel will begin at 7 p.m. ET, while the second Duel is scheduled to start at 8:45 p.m. ET.

Hendrick Motorsports has 15 Daytona Duel victories, including five wins in the last 10 races. The organization won at least one of the two races between 2015 and 2018, including a sweep of the two Duel races in 2015 with Dale Earnhardt Jr. winning Duel No. 1 and Jimmie Johnson winning Duel No. 2.
