CONCORD, N.C. -- Jimmie Johnson will be taking to the virtual track Sunday when he joins his Hendrick Motorsports teammates in the inaugural eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series event.
Teammates Chase Elliott, William Byron and Alex Bowman are already scheduled to race in the event.
With the world of real-life racing on hold, many drivers are competing in virtual racing. The race at Homestead-Miami Speedway was originally scheduled for Sunday, so the iRacing event will take place at the virtual Florida venue.
The eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series event takes place Sunday, March 22 at 1:30 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1.
The real-world NASCAR Cup Series currently is scheduled to return May 9 at Martinsville Speedway.
