CONCORD, N.C. -- Sam Morris had his best finish of the season Thursday night after he placed fourth in the eNASCAR Heat Pro League Series race at Iowa.

The Xbox One player stayed inside the top five for more than half the race after he started in 11th.

Teammate Nick Jobes placed eighth in his race on the PlayStation 4.

Morris was up first for the night and quickly moved to 10th within the first lap. Two laps later, he was in ninth. Seven laps in the 70-lap event, Morris jumped up two more spots to seventh.

Morris was in fifth place when he made his first pit stop on lap 47. He came off pit road in eighth and was back to fifth a couple of laps later.

Halfway through the race, Morris was down to seventh. A yellow flag was dropped with 21 laps to go and Morris was in eighth when the field went green again.

He was in fourth a couple of laps later. With 12 laps to go, Morris moved up another position to third.

Morris stayed in third for three laps before he fell back to fourth. On lap 62, the second caution came out and Morris kept his fourth-place position, which is how he finished the race.

When Jobes' race began, a caution immediately came out. Jobes, who started in 13th, moved up to 10th and was in seventh by lap seven. One lap later, he was in eighth.

By lap 12, Jobes slipped to ninth place. The second caution came out on lap 19 and Jobes was 10th when the field went green again.

With 47 laps to go, Jobes moved down another position to 11th. Two laps later, he was in 13th. By lap 30, he was last in 14th.

Ten laps later, Jobes moved up a position to 13th. He was up to 12th with 23 laps left in the race and was in 10th three laps later. However, he tumbled to 14th just two laps later.

Jobes soon was in 13th. He was in 11th by lap 56 and with 10 laps to go, was back in 10th. He jumped to eighth with eight laps left and was in that position when another caution occurred.

Once the field went green again on lap 67, Jobes maintained his eighth-place spot, which is how he finished.
