CONCORD, N.C. -- Jimmie Johnson will hit the track for one final time at Phoenix Raceway this Sunday, and he will be starting his engine in a car that's suited for a seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion.
"I'm excited to have that unique one-of-a-kind looking race car for my final race," Johnson said. "It's tough to really figure out how you want to handle that and, in my mind, I thought that a chrome car is rarely done in our sport."
Johnson's chrome Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE will be accented with the vibrant purples from Ally, making the car stand out.
Johnson will hit the track one final time as a full-time driver this Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on NBC. To see how the unique scheme came together, check out the video above.
