INDIANAPOLIS (July 31, 2003) - Hendrick Motorsports driver and two-time NASCAR Winston Cup Series champion Terry Labonte will be on hand at his souvenir trailer at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday, Aug. 2 at 5:15 p.m. to sign copies of The Hendrick Marrow Program’s cookbook “FAST FOOD: Fueling the Guys in the NASCAR Winston Cup Garage.”
The NASCAR-licensed cookbook contains more than 150 recipes and over 120 full-color photos. Contributors include Mary Evernham, Mike Helton, Katie Kenseth, Linda Hendrick, Martha Nemechek, Benny Parsons, and Kim Labonte.
The cookbooks will go on sale at the Kellogg’s / got milk? Racing souvenir trailer Saturday, Aug. 2, with Labonte signing the first 200 purchased. Fans that have purchased books will receive a wristband allowing them to be part of the Saturday evening signing. In addition, fans that purchase another souvenir item will have the opportunity to obtain one additional autograph by Labonte at the event.
All proceeds from the purchase of “FAST FOOD” will go toward The Hendrick Marrow Program. In 1997, Rick Hendrick, owner of Hendrick Motorsports, founded The Hendrick Marrow Program in partnership with The Marrow Foundation and the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP). The Hendrick Marrow Program’s mission is to raise funds in support of tissue typing, research, donor recruitment and marrow transplants, while saving lives by educating the public about the need for committed marrow donors.
