Nemechek to Visit UAW-Delphi Plants in June

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (June 3, 2003) – UAW-Delphi NASCAR Winston Cup Series driver Joe Nemechek will visit the Saginaw, Mich., Delphi plant on June 4 and 5, as well as the Coopersville, Mich., and Grand Rapids, Mich., plants on June 16-18 as part of UAW-Delphi’s “Winner’s Circle” program. The program is designed to reward and celebrate the spirit of teamwork and partnership between UAW-Delphi workers and the UAW-Delphi Motorsports program. Nemechek and the UAW-Delphi Motorsports team will bring along the No. 25 show car as they visit more than 20 Delphi facilities this year. Each visit will include tours of each plant, question-and-answer sessions, presentations of Winner’s Circle trophies, and autograph sessions. “We’re trying to bring a little bit of the race track to the fans,” Nemechek said. “Some may never get to see a NASCAR event in person.” Later in the year, Nemechek will visit UAW-Delphi facilities in Texas, Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana, Kansas, and New York.
