CONCORD, N.C. -- Kyle Larson continued to flex his racing muscles by winning Sunday’s NASCAR All-Star Race at Texas Motor Speedway and cashing in the $1 million payout.
Larson's first-place finish marks his second All-Star Race win and extended the organization’s all-star win record to 10 victories. The 28-year-old driver also extended his personal win streak to three after winning the previous two NASCAR Cup Series points races.
Teammate Chase Elliott, the 2020 All-Star Race winner, captured a third-place finish, including a round win and the pit crew challenge during round five, yielding the $100,000 prize. Alex Bowman and William Byron followed close behind, finishing sixth and seventh, respectively.

KYLE LARSON, NO. 5 HENDRICKCARS.COM CHEVROLET CAMARO ZL1 1LE
FINISHED: 1st
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Larson took to the 1.5-mile track in Texas in the pole position. On lap two, he was scored first after the first caution flag waved. He reset in first and stayed there to win round one. He pitted at the of the round and reset 12th after the first inversion.
- At the start of round two, Larson quickly fell back to 15th on lap 18 but made back a position before finishing 14th in round two. After a field inversion, Larson restacked for round three in eighth and made two positions by the end of the round, finishing sixth.
- The race saw another inversion and Larson reshuffled into third for round four. He moved to second on lap 47 and finished the stage there. After the green flag waved to start round five, Larson continued to run second. He made a mandatory green-flag stop during the stage for the pit stop challenge, rejoining fourth.
- He made quick work of the fresh tires and moved to third where he finished round five. He lined up for the final 10-lap round in third and moved to first on lap 94. Larson held off the field and before winning the All-Star Race.
CHASE ELLIOTT, NO. 9 NAPA AUTO PARTS CHEVROLET CAMARO ZL1 1LE
FINISHED: 3rd
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Elliott started his night sixth but moved to fourth by the first caution on lap two. He finished round one in that position and pitted before the start of round two. He restarted round two in ninth after the first field inversion.
- By lap 17, Elliott moved up to fifth, but finished round two in sixth. After another field inversion, Elliott was relegated to 16th. He ran a quiet round three, finishing 13th. He started round four in that position but quickly charged through the field, breeching the top-10 by lap 46, running 10th.
- He continued to surge before finishing round four in fifth. He reset for round five in third and made his mandatory green-flag pit stop on lap 76 and rejoined second. After NASCAR’s official review, the No. 9 pit crew had the fastest pit stop in round five, winning the pit crew challenge and its $100,000 payout.
- Elliott took the lead on lap 80 and held off the field, winning the round. He restarted round six in the lead but fell to third by lap 94, ultimately finishing there.
WILLIAM BYRON, NO. 24 AXALTA CHEVROLET CAMARO ZL1 1LE
FINISHED: 7th
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Byron rolled off the grid in eighth but made an early charge to fifth by lap two before the first caution flag waved. After the restart, Byron continued to move to the front, finishing round one in second.
- After the first inversion, Byron restarted for round two in 11th. He breeched the top-10 by lap 19, running sixth. He made another pass before the end of the round, finishing round two in fifth.
- The next inversion put the 23-year-old driver in 17th for round three. By lap 37, he moved up to 10th. He made another late round pass, finishing ninth. Due to the inversion, Byron started round four in first and did not look back, winning the round.
- He started round five in first but pitted on lap 76 for the mandatory green-flag pit stop for the pit crew challenge. He rejoined in third before another caution fell on lap 77. He took second place on lap 80 and finished round five there.
- Byron started round six in second but fell to ninth by lap 94. He moved to seventh in the remaining six laps before finishing seventh.
ALEX BOWMAN, NO. 48 ALLY CHEVROLET CAMARO ZL1 1LE
FINISHED: 6th
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Bowman took on the All-Star Race in 15th. When the caution flag waved on lap two, he was scored 16th. Bowman reset in that position and found his groove, finishing round one in 14th. He pitted at the end of the round and restacked for round two in 14th.
- He fell back to 17th after the restart and finished round two there. After the field was inverted, Bowman moved to fifth for the start of round three. He took advantage of the position and took the lead on lap 37 before winning round three. After the inversion, he was reshuffled to ninth for the start of round four.
- He moved up to fifth after the green flag waved but fell back to seventh by the end of round four, finishing there. After pitting at the end of the stage, Bowman restacked for round five in sixth. He pitted on lap 76 for the pit crew challenge and rejoined the field seventh. He finished round five there.
- Bowman took to the 10-lap shoot out in round six in eighth. He moved up two positions, running sixth by lap 94 before finishing there.
