CONCORD, N.C. -- Another NASCAR Cup Series inaugural event will go down this weekend as the drivers and teams prepare for the first Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course race.

The organization is coming off it's 11th win of the season after Kyle Larson took the checkered flag at Watkins Glen International on Aug. 8. Hendrick Motorsports will try to keep its road course game strong by winning another first-time event this season at Indy.

Here is everything you need to know to tune in to Sunday’s race at the Indianapolis road course.

WHAT TIME ARE PRACTICE AND QUALIFYING?

Practice for the event in Nashville will be held Saturday, August 14 at 11:05 a.m. ET on NBC Sports Live. Qualifying for Sunday’s race will begin at 9:05 a.m. ET on Sunday, Aug. 15 on CNBC.

WHAT TIME IS THE RACE?

The race will be on Sunday, Aug. 15 at 1 p.m. ET and be broadcast on NBC.

CAN I LISTEN ON THE RADIO?

The race will be available on IMS Radio as well as SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

In NASCAR Cup Series road races since 2018, Hendrick Motorsports has gone to victory lane in nine of 13 events, including eight of the last nine. The team has won 10 of 24 stages (the most) and led more than anyone else with 502 of 1,140 laps (44%). It has posted four 1-2 finishes during the stretch, all coming in the last eight races.
