Labonte Goes Online with ESPN Diary

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Feb. 27, 2003) – Terry Labonte, driver of the No. 5 Kellogg’s / got milk? Chevrolet, will be sharing his insight and opinions on the 2003 NASCAR Winston Cup Series season with visitors of ESPN’s RPM.ESPN.com Web site. The first of Labonte’s bi-weekly entries appeared following the season-opening Daytona 500, in which he talked about the ignition problems that forced Kellogg’s / got milk? Racing to settle for a 30th-place finish in the rain-shortened event. But the two-time champion also praised the superspeedway characteristics of Chevrolet’s new Monte Carlo, expressed excitement at starting his second season with crew chief Jim Long and looked ahead to his 750th career start that will take place on March 16 at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway. The next installment of Labonte’s “Driver’s Diary” will be posted the week of March 3, following the 400-mile event in Las Vegas, and preview the tour’s return to the Southeast for events at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Darlington.
