CONCORD, N.C. – Chase Elliott led the Hendrick Motorsports brigade in Saturday night’s qualifying session at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
Elliott ran the seventh-fastest lap with a time of 13.965 seconds in the single car, two-lap time trials with teammate Kyle Larson posting the eighth-fastest lap with 13.957 seconds.
William Byron qualified 11th with a time of 13.973 seconds while Alex Bowman ran the 14th-fastest lap of the night with a spin around the 0.25-mile oval racetrack in 14.014 seconds.
Kyle Busch won the pole.
The results from tonight’s Clash qualifying session set the line ups for tomorrow’s four heat races.
Each heat race is 25 laps and is followed by two last-chance qualifiers that will set the field for Sunday night’s Clash at the Coliseum main event at 6 p.m. ET on FOX.
