CONCORD, N.C. - Hendrick Motorsports takes on the track "Too Tough to Tame" as Darlington Raceway hosts the sport's annual throwback weekend. Drivers will be sporting unique paint schemes that honor the past at the South Carolina track.

Kyle Larson's throwback paint scheme goes back to the last win to date for Hendrick Motorsports in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. His No. 5 HendrickCars.com Throwback Chevy is inspired by the car that Tony Stewart drove to victory for the organization in 2009 at Daytona International Speedway.

Chase Elliott's No. 9 LLumar Throwback Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 honors his dad, Bill Elliott, with a paint scheme inspired by the car that the NASCAR Hall of Famer drove to four wins from 2001 to 2003. Chase has said those years sparked his desire to pursue racing. The car also features a special message for moms with the race at Darlington taking place on Mother's Day.
