CONCORD, N.C. -- The last time the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series headed to Kansas Speedway, it provided one of the best races for Hendrick Motorsports all season.
It started with Jeff Gordon, who grabbed his first win of the season, becoming the all-time wins leader at the track in the process.
"I'm going to be 43 this year, but this team makes me feel like I'm 25,” Gordon said at the time.
Gordon's win alone made the Kansas race stand out for Hendrick Motorsports, but what put it over the top was the fact that Kasey Kahne and Dale Earnhardt Jr. joined him in the top five -- and Jimmie Johnson made it all four teammates in the top 10.
The drivers will look to repeat that type of performance on Sunday, when the Contender Round of the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup begins at Kansas Speedway.
