This current streak started at Dover Motor Speedway in May and matches one that occurred, which spanned the final 10 playoff races of the 2013 season from Chicagoland Speedway in September to Homestead-Miami Speedway in November.

The Rick Hendrick-owned team has had three streaks larger than that in the last 15 years. Over the second half of the 2012 season and the first six races of 2013, the organization had a 24-race streak of top-five finishes. In 2021, the organization had a 14-race streak of top-five finishes that went from Martinsville Speedway in April to Atlanta in July. In 2012, the squad had a 13-race streak that lasted from Auto Club Speedway in March to Kentucky Speedway in July.
