CONCORD, N.C. -- This weekend, Hendrick Motorsports will make its second visit of the season to Kansas Speedway. William Byron and Kyle Larson continue their quest for the team's 15th NASCAR Cup Series championship, while the No. 9 team remains in the mix in the owner playoffs.
Since the venue opened in 2001, the organization has eight wins at the 1.5-mile track. Among the squad's active drivers, Larson (2021) and Chase Elliott (2018) have wins there.
For the third time this year, Larson will sport the patriotic look on the No. 5 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. In addition to his win in the 2021 playoff race, he has finished second in the last two spring races and has four straight top-10 finishes at Kansas. Over 17 starts, he has led 540 laps, with 376 of those coming in the last five races.

Elliott will drive the No. 9 NAPA Auto Parts Chevy. His 10.9 average finish is second-best among series regulars. Along with his 2018 win in the playoffs, he has six top-five finishes and nine top-10s in 15 starts at Kansas.
Byron's No. 24 Chevrolet will have RaptorTough.com on board for the second race of the Round of 16. He earned the pole position and finished third in the spring race. The 25-year-old driver has seven top-10 finishes in his last eight races at the 1.5-mile facility.

Alex Bowman's No. 48 Ally Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 will carry the day scheme for Sunday's race. Kansas has been one of his strongest tracks in the Cup Series. Last fall, he led a race-high 107 laps en route to a fourth-place finish. In Bowman's last nine starts there, he has three top-five finishes and six top-10s.
