CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A bright and sunny Monday provided the backdrop for the annual Hendrick Family Foundation’s Learn Live Hope Golf Classic in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Rick Hendrick, who is the team owner of Hendrick Motorsports and chairman and CEO of Hendrick Automotive Group, has hosted the annual event since 2004.

This year’s golf event raised more than $1.3 million. The Boys and Girls Club, Levine Children’s Hospital, Be The Match, Crisis Assistance Ministry and Second Harvest Food Bank are among the organizations that will benefit from the funds raised.
All four Hendrick Motorsports drivers – Alex Bowman, William Byron, Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson – were there to support the cause and mingle with golfers. Hendrick Motorsports vice chairman and NASCAR Hall of Famer Jeff Gordon was also on hand. Fellow Chevrolet driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was there to golf in the event. In addition, the Garage 56 car was on display.
"What a beautiful day God blessed us with for our tournament," Hendrick told the crowd. "I want to thank everybody for being here for such a great cause."
Throughout the day, Hendrick made his way around the golf course to personally thank the 224 players for their participation, posed for photos and thanked the numerous volunteers for their time. The event had over 30 sponsors contributing.
The not-for-profit Hendrick Family Foundation was established by Rick and Linda Hendrick in 2015. The organization consolidated the philanthropic efforts of the Hendrick family and absorbed its predecessor, the Hendrick Marrow Program. The Learn Live Hope Golf Classic is the foundation’s signature annual fundraising event.
