CONCORD, N.C. - Hendrick Motorsports' driver quartet heads to Texas Motor Speedway for the ninth points-paying race of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season.

The team has a series-best 11 wins at the 1.5-mile track in Fort Worth, Texas. William Byron's most recent victory, in September of 2023, produced the organization's 300th Cup Series win. In addition, Kyle Larson's playoff win in 2021 locked him into the Championship 4 ahead of his title triumph three weeks later at Phoenix Raceway. 

Larson will drive the No. 5 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 this weekend. In three Texas starts since coming to Hendrick Motorsports ahead of the 2021 season, he has one win, two top-10 finishes and a series-best 374 laps led. Additionally, he won the All-Star Race at Texas in 2021 and is one of seven drivers to win the all-star event and the championship in the same season. Seven of his 18 Cup Series wins at Hendrick Motorsports have come at 1.5-mile tracks.

Chase Elliott will run the No. 9 Hooters Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for the second of their three primary races this season. His best finish at Texas was a fourth-place run in the fall of 2016. In 13 starts, the 2020 champion has two top-five finishes and six top-10s. Two of his 18 Cup Series wins have come at 1.5-mile tracks.

The No. 24 Liberty University Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 will be back on track for Byron in Texas. The 26-year-old driver has one win, two top-five finishes and five top-10s. In the last three races at the 1.5-mile track, Byron has three consecutive top-10 finishes, the best average finish (3.33) and the most points scored (140). Three of his 13 Cup Series wins have taken place on 1.5-mile tracks. Byron is coming off of his third win of the season on Sunday at Martinsville Speedway.

The primary No. 48 Ally Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 returns for driver Alex Bowman in the ninth race of the season. Bowman has a pair of fifth-place finishes at Texas, the most recent of which came in the fall of 2020. Two of his seven Cup Series wins have come at 1.5-mile tracks.
