CONCORD, N.C. - This weekend, Hendrick Motorsports and the NASCAR Cup Series head to Charlotte Motor Speedway for the sport's longest race of the season: The Coca-Cola 600.

In total, Hendrick Motorsports has claimed 21 victories at Charlotte's 1.5-mile layout with 12 of those wins coming in the 600-mile race. Darrell Waltrip won the team's first two trophies at Charlotte, winning the crown jewel competition in 1988 and 1989. Jeff Gordon would win the same race three times ('94, '97 and '98) while Jimmie Johnson was victorious three years in a row ('03 - '05) and again in 2014. Casey Mears (07), Kasey Kahne ('12) and Kyle Larson ('21) have each won the Coca-Cola 600 once for Rick Hendrick's team.
The No. 5 HendrickCars.com entry will dawn a unique paint scheme this weekend for the #Hendrick1100 as Larson attempts to complete the Indianapolis 500 and Coca-Cola 600 in the same day. The team will honor Marine Corp Gunnery Sergeant (GySgt) John Basilone on the windshield for the Cup Series main event.

Chase Elliott will drive the No. 9 NAPA Auto Parts Patriotic Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 at Charlotte this weekend. The Dawsonville, Georgia, native has been victorious at the 1.5-mile venue in the past, taking home a win on the oval configuration in 2020. The team will honor TEC5 Clifford Strickland on the windshield this weekend.

Liberty University is back on the No. 24 entry with their patriotic colors for Memorial Day Weekend. William Byron's performance in 2023's main event earned the team a runner-up result. Major (Maj.) Tobin "Toby" Lewis of the United States Marines will be honored with his name on the windshield.

Alex Bowman will drive the No. 48 Ally Racing Patriotic Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for the 600-mile main race. While he has yet to break through for a victory at Charlotte, the driver of the No. 48 entry has eight top-10 finishes the season, which is tied for the most in the Cup Series. The team will honor Army Captain (CPT) Arthur "Bo" Felder for the event.
