New Hampshire is one of the more unique tracks the sport’s top division will visit. At just over one mile in length, the configuration is approximately the same size as Dover Motor Speedway. However, the differences lie in the turns. The corners utilize progressive banking between two and seven degrees. With the long straightaways and sweeping, flat turns, New Hampshire is certainly a unique driving challenge for Cup Series competitors.

Hendrick Motorsports has claimed nine victories at New Hampshire since the track first hosted Cup Series competition in 1993. Team vice chairman Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson each won three times at this track for the organization. Kasey Kahne, Kyle Busch and Mark Martin each found victory lane once during their careers at the facility with Rick Hendrick’s organization.

2023's main event at New Hampshire was run on a Monday afternoon after heavy rains on Sunday forced the postponement. During the 301-mile race, Kyle Larson led the way with a third-place finish and spent the majority of the day towards the front of the field. Following Larson was Chase Elliott in 12th and Alex Bowman in 14th. William Byron was score 24th after damage to the car's nose leaving pit road in stage two changed the balance of the race car for the worse. The driver of the No. 24 entry did lead nine laps early in the race.
