HAMPTON, Ga. – Both Kyle Larson and William Byron advanced to the final round of qualifying at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon. After the second round was completed, the No. 5 HendrickCars.com entry earned the sixth spot while Byron's group will start from the ninth position.

Chase Elliott will roll off from the 16th position in his hometown race. Elliott will also sport a special paint scheme this weekend honoring the Children's Hospital of Atlanta. The Dawsonville, Georgia, native has earned one career victory at Atlanta.

Alex Bowman narrowly missed out on the final round of qualifying and will start Sunday's main event from the 11th position. A win on Sunday would be the first time Bowman would score a victory at a drafting track in his career.

2024's run to the title will feature two drafting tracks for the first time in Cup Series history with the inclusion of Atlanta in the Round of 16.

In its 40 year history, Hendrick Motorsports has 17 wins at Atlanta, the most of any team and the fifth-most of any track for the organization. That includes a record eight winners: Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson each have five victories in Hampton, Georgia with William Byron claiming two and Chase Elliott, Darrel Waltrip, Jerry Nadeau, Kasey Kahne and Ken Schrader each winning once.
