CONCORD, N.C. - It's back to business for the Hendrick Motorsports cars entering the second race of the Round of 16 in the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs.

Sporting classic paint schemes, Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, William Byron and Alex Bowman will take to the 2.45-mile road course at Watkins Glen International on Sunday, a track dominated by Hendrick Motorsports in recent history.

The organization has swept the last five events in upstate New York with Elliott and Larson each winning twice in that time and Byron leading 66 of 90 laps while cruising to victory last year. All told, Hendrick Motorsports has visited victory lane 11 times at Watkins Glen, the most of any team by four. Jeff Gordon leads the way with four wins.

Hendrick Motorsports has also won at a road course three times in 2024 with Byron, Larson and Bowman each earning a victory.

Sunday's race is set for a 3 p.m. start and will air on USA Network.

In addition to his two victories, Larson has scored five top-five showings and six top 10s in nine career starts at Watkins Glen. His average finish of 12.2 ranks eighth best among active drivers.

No one has been better at road course racing in recent years than Elliott. He holds an average finish of 8.97 on road courses, over three positions better than any other driver and sixth-best all time among drivers making at least four starts. He has four top fives in seven starts at the Glen including two wins.

Certainly, last year's romp was a breakthrough for Byron, who has three top-10 finishes in five Watkins Glen starts. Byron has led the most laps on road courses in 2024 with 42 and has four top 10s in his last five road course starts.

FROM ALL ANGLES: Bowman's No. 48 Ally Racing Chevy

Bowman's win at the Chicago Street Course this year was his first road course win, but it was hardly an anomaly. Nobody has scored more points on road courses this year (115) than Bowman. He'll look for his first top 10 in his eight start at Watkins Glen on Sunday.
