CONCORD, N.C. - As is custom, the NASCAR season will begin with Speedweek held at Daytona International Speedway building up to the DAYTONA 500.
And while the week concludes with the Super Bowl of Stock Car Racing in the sport's premier series, it's a busy week for all of NASCAR's tours with the Xfinity Series, Craftsman Truck Series and ARCA Series all getting started as well.
Hendrick Motorsports will enter the week looking for a second consecutive DAYTONA 500 win after William Byron secured the organization's ninth in 2024, moving it into a tie for the most wins all time. The good news? Hendrick Motorsports backed up DAYTONA 500 wins in 2005 and 2013 with a second straight in 2006 and in 2014. Those account for the four most recent victories prior to Byron's last year.
Coverage of the 2025 DAYTONA 500 is slated to begin at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16.
Also, of note for Hendrick Motorsports fans, newly signed driver Corey Day will take part in the week's ARCA race, scheduled for noon on Saturday, Feb. 15. It will mark the 19-year-old's first start at a superspeedway.
