DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Due to the threat of weather on Sunday, NASCAR moved the scheduled start time of the 67th DAYTONA 500 up an hour, from 2:30 to 1:30 p.m.
Gates will open at 9 a.m. The race is still set to be televised on Fox.
Hendrick Motorsports will look for its record-breaking 10th win in the Great American Race on Sunday. All four cars earned starting spots on the grid during Thursday night's Daytona Duels. William Byron, the defending race winner, earned the best spot of the four drivers and will roll off fifth.
Friday's schedule includes an early ARCA practice and a second practice in the NASCAR Cup Series, giving teams yet another chance to get track time after Thursday's 150-mile races.
