DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The penultimate day of Speedweek has arrived in Florida and with it comes another busy slate of racing.
The DAYTONA 500 looms on Sunday, now an hour earlier than originally scheduled, but two races will be held on Saturday in addition to the final Cup Series practice of the week.
Hendrick Motorsports' Corey Day will make his 2025 ARCA debut when the series runs its season opener at noon. The race will air on Fox. A Cup Series practice is then set for roughly 3:05 p.m. and will be broadcast on FS2.
On Friday, William Byron and Chase Elliott laid down the two best lap times in a rain-abbreviated practice. Byron is the defending winner of the DAYTONA 500 while Elliott will look to break through after a couple of close calls including a runner-up finish in 2021.
The day concludes with the season opener in the Xfinity Series, scheduled for 5 p.m. The race will air on the new home for the Xfinity Series, the CW.
