DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The final dress rehearsal for the 67th DAYTONA 500 went into the books on a hot, sunny Saturday afternoon.
And a couple of Hendrick Motorsports cars sure looked the part of contenders.
Alex Bowman was second and Kyle Larson fifth on the speed chart as the Cup Series put the final practice session in the books at Daytona International Speedway. Bowman clocked a lap of 46.566 seconds, just short of topping the list after teammate William Byron paced the field in second practice on Friday.
Byron only logged a couple of laps during Saturday's practice. Chase Elliott and the No. 9 team chose not to partake in the final session.
The DAYTONA 500 has been moved up an hour and will start at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. Fox will have the broadcast.
