DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Well, that was fun while it lasted.
The 67th DAYTONA 500 resumed long enough for nine caution laps but rain has returned to Daytona International Speedway. The red flag has been displayed again with 21 laps on the board.
Many cars chose to pit under the brief caution period with only a handful remaining on the track. Currently, defending winner William Byron is the highest-running Hendrick Motorsports entry in sixth.
