DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Mother Nature's second interference into the DAYTONA 500 was a lot shorter lived than the first.

Nearly as soon as covers went on the cars, they came right back off and after a short sprinkle, minimal track-drying efforts were needed to get Daytona International Speedway back in racing condition.

William Byron, the winner of the 2024 DAYTONA 500, is the highest running Hendrick Motorsports entry in sixth. Cars resumed rolling under caution with 179 laps remaining.
