HOMESTEAD, Fla. - Like most stops on the NASCAR Cup Series circuit, there are fond memories for Hendrick Motorsports at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
But let's face it, one stands out a little taller than the rest.
In November of 2016, Jimmie Johnson emerged from a late-race restart with the lead, completing a rally after a grind of a day, to ascend to NASCAR immortality with a seventh championship in the premier series. He still stands alongside legends Dale Earnhardt and Richard Petty as the only wheelmen to claim seven Cup Series titles.

Obviously, the scene in victory lane was a joyous one, filled with stops from peers and NASCAR brass. And of course, in the middle of it all, was Hendrick Motorsports owner and founder, Rick Hendrick.
He was a man of many hats that evening. And one pair of goggles. Hey, who wants champagne in their eyes?
Those artifacts - the very goggles and one of the hats Hendrick wore in victory lane that night, still reside on the Concord, North Carolina campus. They rest encased among the buildings full of treasures and trinkets that tell the story of the organization's history.

So, what do you remember about that night? About that season? About Johnson's career and Hendrick Motorsports' history?
Well, for starters, did you know that would be the last time Jimmie Johnson would lead the NASCAR Cup Series points standings? Or that at age 41, Johnson became the youngest driver to win seven championships?
Were those easy warmups for you? Perhaps your racing knowledge far exceeds those softball questions?
