HOMESTEAD, Fla. - Sunday's main event at Homestead-Miami Speedway saw all four Hendrick Motorsports drivers score stage points during the 400-mile race. Why is that important you might ask?
Well, the race for the regular season championship often proves to be vital in the hunt for a championship. And Hendrick Motorsports is off to a good start in that department.
Headed into Martinsville Speedway next weekend, Rick Hendrick's group owns four of the top-six spots in the regular season points standings. This is highlighted by William Byron at the top, followed by Kyle Larson in second and Alex Bowman in third. Chase Elliott rounds out the group in sixth.
