CONCORD, N.C. - Few venues on the NASCAR Cup Series schedule conjure images of pure speed, crashes and chaos quite like Talladega Superspeedway. And for good reason.

At 2.66 miles long, with 33-degree banking in the corners and with plenty of width to support four- and even five-wide pack racing, it truly is a one-of-a-kind, white-knuckle experience for competitors and fans alike.

But for Hendrick Motorsports, the historic circuit has been the site for yet another prolonged display of mastery as the organization has piled up more victories than any other.

How many, you ask? Hold that thought!

This week, our archivist Sam Ulrich dug around in some boxes and found this, a pink hat commemorating the first NASCAR Cup Series race for the Chevrolet Lumina, which came at Talladega in 1989. While the new car came up a little short of victory lane, Hendrick Motorsports' Darrell Waltrip was the highest-finishing Chevrolet in fourth and teammate Ken Schrader led the most laps of any Lumina driver with 34.

The hat is certainly an interesting piece of history. Now, to win your own!

By now, you know the drill. Sam and some other resident historians here at Hendrick Motorsports have gotten their heads together and produced seven trivia questions to test your Talladega knowledge. If you're among the folks with the highest score, you will be automatically entered into a random drawing to win a prize.

This week, we're offering up a 1:64 diecast set commemorating the 100th win in Hendrick Motorsports history, which came on June 10, 2001 at Michigan International Speedway. In the set are eight diecasts, each sporting a paint scheme of a car that went to victory lane for Rick Hendrick in those first 100 triumphs.
