CONCORD, N.C. -- This weekend, Jimmie Johnson is welcoming back an old friend.
Starting at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway, the No. 48 team's Lowe's Chevrolet SS will go back to a blue -- as opposed to white -- paint scheme.
I'm not superstitious... But just in case.

Johnson ran the idea by Lowe's, and the 13-year sponsor of the driver agreed wholeheartedly with the change.
Johnson noted in an Instagram video that the white car had seen a number of subpar results, so he wanted to switch things up.
The blue-and-white scheme first appeared on the No. 48 for the 2012 season, and Johnson's sixth NASCAR Sprint Cup championship came in the familiar paint scheme in 2013.
The blue Lowe's car has visited Victory Lane five times since its debut.
Hendrick Motorsports Owner Rick Hendrick put it best when discussing the No. 48 team after Johnson rallied for a ninth-place finish last week at Michigan International Speedway.
"Hopefully," he said, "we have all the bad luck behind us now."
