‘Richie Parker: Drive' awarded Sports Emmy

NEW YORK – “Richie Parker: Drive” was one of seven Sports Emmy Awards that ESPN won on Tuesday at the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in New York.

Tom Rinaldi profiled Parker, a chassis and body designer for Hendrick Motorsports, for the “SportsCenter Featured" piece that aired in July 2013. Nominated in the Short Feature category, the award marks the 16th Sports Emmy for SportsCenter and the 21st for ESPN in a Features category.
