DOVER, Del. – Jimmie Johnson’s No. 48 Chevrolet will sport a special paint scheme at Dover (Del.) International Speedway this weekend to celebrate “Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted,” opening in theaters on June 8.
Characters from the film will grace the hood of Jimmie Johnson’s No. 48 Lowe’s Chevrolet at the Monster Mile. Alex, Marty, Gloria and Melman, the famous Zoosters from the animated Madagascar films, will be riding with Johnson to help kick off Lowe’s special DreamWorks-themed Build and Grow clinics, which will be offered at Lowe’s stores throughout the summer.
As part of the celebration, Johnson will stop by the Lowe’s display located in the Dover FanZone outside Turn 4 at 10:15 a.m. local time on Sunday to help kids in attendance assemble a Madagascar Lowe’s Build and Grow car and host a kids-oriented question-and-answer session. The car is a wooden replica of Johnson’s Dover race car. Space for the event is limited, but the special Madagascar Build and Grow car kits are available for purchase in Lowe’s stores.
Any child is welcome to attend and Dover is offering a special $10 junior ticket for children ages 14 and younger. (For more information, visit DoverSpeedway.com or call 800-441-RACE).
Fans can watch the No. 48 Lowe’s Madagascar 3 Chevrolet hit the Monster Mile Sunday at 12:30 p.m. ET on FOX.
