CONCORD, N.C. -- In May 2014, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning joined the "Nation," partnering with Nationwide Insurance.
Dale Earnhardt Jr., who earlier that month had announced Nationwide as a primary partner on the No. 88 Chevrolet SS, quickly tweeted his congratulations.
Now, with the start of the 2015 season just days away, Manning has reciprocated.
Through Nationwide, the five-time NFL MVP posted a video wishing Earnhardt good luck in the upcoming Daytona 500.
Manning was just one of many personalities to wish Earnhardt luck as he returns to Daytona International Speedway the defending champion of the Great American Race.
Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer -- fresh off a national championship -- and Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis -- the recent winner of the NFL's Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award -- were among the sports figures posting videos in support of Earnhardt.
Earnhardt was certainly appreciative.
