CONCORD, N.C. -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. is NASCAR's 12-time most popular driver.
He has two dozen Sprint Cup Series wins to go with his 135 career top-five finishes and 234 top-10s.
But even the driver currently fifth in the Sprint Cup points standings can dream about being a different athlete.
On his long ride to Daytona International Speedway inside the No. 88 Nationwide hauler, Earnhardt had plenty of time to answer fan questions.
One of them stood out above the others.
Elliott, who already has an XFINITY Series championship under his belt, will be Earnhardt's Hendrick Motorsports teammate full-time starting next season, driving the No. 24 NAPA AUTO PARTS Chevrolet SS.
It's an enviable position that even Earnhardt can appreciate.
But as for that impersonator gig, Elliott begged to differ.
