LOUDON, N.H. (June 25, 2010) -- Mark Martin and Jimmie Johnson earned spots inside the top 10 during Friday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series qualifying session at New Hampshire Motor Speedway to lead Hendrick Motorsports.
Martin, driver of the No. 5 CARQUEST Auto Parts/GoDaddy.com Chevrolet, will line up fourth for Sunday's race. Martin won at this racetrack last September, kicking off the 2009 Chase for the Sprint Cup.
Johnson heads into Loudon fresh off his win last week at Infineon Raceway. The driver of the No. 48 Lowe's Chevrolet will start 10th when the green flag is waved Sunday.
Jeff Gordon, driver of the No. 24 DuPont Chevrolet, will roll off the grid 16th. Gordon took runner-up honors last year in this race, which was shortened by rain.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. qualified early on Friday and scored the 31st spot in his No. 88 National Guard/AMP Energy Chevrolet.
TNT will televise Sunday's race at 1 p.m. ET.
