INDIANAPOLIS -- Landon Walker was busy this weekend.

The fueler for the No. 5 team handled his typical role during the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. But before that, he answered fan questions in a Twitter #PitCrewChat.

And through it all he still found time to reunite with his college teammate at Clemson, Indianapolis Colts tight end Dwayne Allen.

Walker was an offensive tackle at Clemson, where he had 130 knockdowns in a school-record 3,131 snaps over 53 games -- including a school-record 49 starts -- in his career. He made 39 consecutive starts in his career, and was a co-captain en route to Honorable Mention All-ACC honors as a senior.

At Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Walker and Allen reminisced about their college days and discussed the tackle's transition to the world of NASCAR.

"He was just telling me the difference between football and what he's doing now," Allen told FOX Sports. "He only gets six chances, he gets six plays, whereas on the football field, I get 60. If I mess up 10 times, it's all right because I get 50 other chances to get it right. If he messes up once, it could cost his team."

Both men were all smiles during the reunion, and Walker said their years together in the trenches helped prepare him for his job today.

"Coming from a football atmosphere, you can really do anything if you set your mind to it," he said. "There's nothing in life that prepares you like football does."
