CONCORD, N.C. -- Jimmie Johnson has tamed the 'Monster Mile' 10 times throughout his career so far.
This weekend he will return to the one-mile oval and race to secure his position in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Round of 12.
"When I look at the first round and know that Dover is in there, it's my favorite racetrack and the track I've been most successful at," Johnson said. "So that's something that we are excited about and feel like we can fall back onto if we have some early trouble."
Last year, Dover was the track that took Johnson out of the championship running and this year he looks to have a different outcome.
