Last chance for this weekend's 'Ride of a Lifetime' at Bristol

BRISTOL, Tenn. (March 16, 2009) -- There are just minutes left to claim your seat next to Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon or Jimmie Johnson during the parade lap at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway on Sunday. Fan can bid on the opportunity to ride along with one of these three Hendrick Motorsports drivers or 11 other NASCAR Sprint Cup Series competitors at www.bristolmotorspeedway.com. The bidding closes at 1 p.m. ET today. Currently, Earnhardt leads all drivers as his fans have bid more than $4,000 for the ride-along opportunity. The highest-bidders will earn two pre-race passes, two cold pit passes and a photo opportunity, but race tickets for the Food City 500 must be purchased separately. The green flag drops at 2 p.m. on Sunday. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the Bristol Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities.
