RICHMOND, Va. – The NASCAR Cup Series heads to Virginia this week for a race at Richmond International Raceway, and Kasey Kahne is eager to hit the track.

“I’ve enjoyed racing here and felt good in practice today,” Kahne said. “I feel like we could have a good result on Sunday.”

Sunday’s race will mark Kahne’s 11th trip to Richmond with Hendrick Motorsports, and he earned his best finish with the organization at the track in the spring race last season. He finished fourth, and Kahne said he plans to build upon that experience as he prepares for the race weekend.

“I was looking at our car and our setups and things are very similar to where we were last year,” Kahne explained. “We will just kind of fine tune on that and get things right.”

Kahne also took time to reflect on last week at Bristol. He was proud of the team’s effort all afternoon before ultimately finishing 20th due to a tire issue.

“Rough finish, but we had a strong car,” Kahne explained. “We have had some strong cars this year and looking forward to having another strong car on Sunday.”

Kahne is optimistic as he looks forward to the race at hand.

“This should be a good show for us,” Kahne expressed.
