CONCORD, N.C. -- When Dale Earnhardt Jr. tweeted that he and his wife, Amy, will be tackling a new home renovation show on the DIY Network, the excitement level was already high.

Now that the network has revealed the details of the upcoming project, we can't wait to see it hit the airwaves.

The new show -- which will air in early 2018 -- follows the Earnhardts as they restore a classic home in the historic Old Town district of Key West, Florida.

Set to be a four-part series, the couple will look to turn the old home into a contemporary seaside oasis.

As we've seen from his social media accounts -- including the reveal of his epic treehouse -- the driver has a penchant for home-improvement projects, and his wife is an accomplished interior designer.

In fact, that's how Earnhardt met his future wife, when she played a big role in the design of his North Carolina home.

"Amy is a fantastic designer," Earnhardt said. "She has creative ideas and a strong work ethic. We love DIY projects around the house, so I expect this to be challenging but fun."

Amy tweeted that the couple can't wait to get started, and John Feld -- senior vice president, original programming and production, HGTV, DIY Network and Great American Country -- said the network and fans are just as excited.

"Fasten your seat belts," Feld said, "because this one is sure to be a thrilling, unpredictable ride."
