CONCORD, N.C. -- This Sunday, the green flag will wave on the longest race of the NASCAR Cup Series season: the Charlotte 600.
And with the organization's success at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Hendrick Motorsports owner Rick Hendrick is confident in the capability of all four teams to be competitive forces.
"When we go back this week, all four of our guys are capable of winning that race," Hendrick said. "It's a race I'm really looking forward to."
Dale Earnhardt Jr. acknowledged the added element of length, noting that hydration and nutrition are key to a driver's preparation for this race.
"It's as tough mentally as it is physically," Dale Earnhardt Jr. said. "You can kind of wear yourself out having to have that kind of focus for so many hours. Hopefully we'll be up for the challenge."
