SONOMA, Calif. – Chase Elliott will lead his teammates to the green flag on Sunday at Sonoma Raceway.
Elliott advanced to the final round of qualifying at the California road course and will start the race from eighth position.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. also made it to the final round of qualifying and will start 10th.
"The car has got good speed," Earnhardt said. "There are a couple of guys I think that were a little faster than us, but we certainly have a top 10 car for sure. I’m looking forward to seeing how it does in the race.”
Kasey Kahne and Jimmie Johnson did not advance to the final round and will start 21st and 24th, respectively.
Kyle Larson secured the pole position.
Sunday's race is scheduled for 3 p.m. on FOX Sports 1, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
