INDIANAPOLIS -- NASCAR Cup Series drivers are in the spotlight each and every week at tracks across the country.

But sometimes it takes a special moment to showcase just how much some fans look up to the drivers.

Chase Elliott experienced one of those moments yesterday in Indianapolis while promoting the upcoming Brickyard 400.

Following a day of helicopter tours of the city, axe-throwing lessons and go karting, Elliott headed to the track to walk the grid of the USAC .25 Midget Battle at the Brickyard.

There, Elliott talked, signed autographs and posed for pictures with some of the 350 competitors.

However, an emotional exchange with one young racer took the cake.
