Hendrick Motorsports is getting in on the fun with four retro paint schemes that will remind fans of years past.
Kasey Kahne will pilot the No. 5 Great Clips Chevrolet SS inspired by Geoff Bodine’s No. 5 Levi Garrett ride from 1985.
Chase Elliott will drive a light blue NAPA AUTO PARTS scheme that mimics the 1976 car his father, Bill Elliott, drove.
Jimmie Johnson takes it back to the 1980s with a vintage look for his Chevy modeled after a 1986 Lowe’s truck.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s Nationwide machine will pay tribute to his ACDelco car from his time in the NASCAR XFINITY Series. Earnhardt won the series championship in 1998 and 1999 in the red, white and blue scheme.
