DOVER, Del. – Dale Earnhardt Jr. led the Hendrick Motorsports qualifying effort in Friday afternoon’s session.
Earnhardt advanced to the final round and will start the first elimination race of the playoffs on the fourth row in seventh.
Chase Elliott also made it through to the final round and will take the green flag in 12th.
Teammates Jimmie Johnson and Kasey Kahne advanced it to the second round and will roll off the grid in 17th and 21st, respectively.
Martin Truex Jr. captured the pole.
Sunday’s race is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET on NBCSN, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
