RIDGEWAY, Va. – Chase Elliott led the Hendrick Motorsports qualifying effort Sunday afternoon at Martinsville Speedway.
Elliott advanced to the final round and will start today’s race in third.
Kasey Kahne also made it through to the final round and will take the green flag in 12th.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. advanced to the second round and will roll off the grid in 21st.
Jimmie Johnson also made it to the second round but spun out during a qualifying run. As a result he qualified in 24th, though the No. 48 team will start at the rear of the field.
Joey Logano captured the pole.
Sunday’s race is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
