CONCORD, N.C. -- Both Alex Bowman and William Byron have plenty of experience inside racing simulators, and Bowman actually serves as Hendrick Motorsports' simulator driver this season.
With that in mind, NBC Sports' "NASCAR America" asked both driver to share their insight into the important role the simulator plays in today's NASCAR.
"I feel like racing is all about how well you use your tools," Bowman said. "The better you use the tools that you've given, the better you're going to run on Sundays."
Byron agreed.
"Like Alex said, you've got to use the tools you have, and that includes the simulator," he said.
Bowman also gave an NBC personality a spin behind the wheel of the simulator.
