CONCORD, N.C. – Tuesday morning, fans were granted a truly unique opportunity thanks to a Facebook Live video on the Hendrick Motorsports Facebook page.
No. 24 team crew chief Darian Grubb took fans inside the No. 24 team’s Daytona prep meeting.
“This was kind of cool because this was our first meeting together prepping for the season, getting everybody in one room and just trying to go through all the logistics,” Grubb said.
The crew chief passed the phone around the room, allowing fans to meet the men in charge of making sure the No. 24 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 will be ready to go when it rolls off the truck at Daytona International Speedway.
That includes driver William Byron, who was ready to soak in all the information that would be thrown his way.
“We’re excited to get to the racetrack,” he said. “Going to be a lot of fun.”
Take a look at the full video below and get a glimpse into how the team is preparing to kick off the season on a high note.
“Flying out Friday morning, truck leaves Thursday night,” Grubb explained. “So, we’ve got a lot of things to do to get ready for the racetrack.”
