CONCORD, N.C. – Wednesday, a new edition of #MorningsWith aired live on the Hendrick Motorsports Twitter account, a segment that introduces fans to teammates all across the organization’s Concord, North Carolina, campus.
This week, we got to know traveling network administrator Brian Walsh.
“We’ve got our hands in pretty much everything here,” he said of the organization’s IT department.
In the interview, Walsh explained all the ways the IT department helps the teams while traveling on race weekends and back at the shop in between events.
It’s always a lot of work, he said, but “it’s always fun.”
Prior to pursuing a career in IT, Walsh served in the United States Marine Corps, which included deployments to Iraq in 2005 and 2008.
After working at a physician’s office, he jumped at the opportunity to join Hendrick Motorsports at the start of this season.
“I had no idea what I was getting into, but I’m completely glad that I did,” he said. “It’s been a ride ever since, and I love it.”
